The tradition continues! We’re walking 10KADAY for Giant Steps again this year

By Kay Wong

For the third year in a row, our team at Ray White Lower North Shore Group is coming together this September to take on the 10KADAY challenge. We’re walking 10,000 steps every day to promote autism awareness and raise $50,000 for Giant Steps.

Why are we doing this?

We believe a strong community is one that supports all its members, especially those who need it most. This cause is deeply important to us because children and individuals with autism, as well as their families, are a vital part of our community. We are passionate about creating a more inclusive neighbourhood where they feel seen, supported, and can flourish.

Who is Giant Steps?

Giant Steps Sydney was founded in 1995 with a determination to bring world-class autism education to Australia. Today, they are a leading educational centre that provides a unique transdisciplinary program, integrating teaching with speech, music and occupational therapy to help each child reach their full potential.

Beyond the classroom, their mission extends to the entire community. Giant Steps provides crucial support to families, works to improve the understanding of autism in the wider community and helps develop best practices among carers and professionals.

How will your donation help?

Your donation directly funds the intensive, individualised programs that make Giant Steps so effective. Your contribution will help provide:

  • Individualised learning programs and essential therapies tailored to each child’s unique needs and abilities.
  • Highly trained teachers and therapists working collaboratively to support each student’s unique goals.
  • A safe, supportive and caring environment where children are given every opportunity to thrive.

Here’s how you can get involved too!

1. Walk with us, share the news and spread awareness!
2. Every contribution counts! You can make a donation here.
