Top Mosman-based mortgage broker Matt Clayton has joined Australia’s largest family-owned broking group, Loan Market.
The born-and-bred Mosman local is a seasoned finance entrepreneur founding his first business, Claymax Finance at the age of 23 and a year later winning Australian Young Broker of the Year at the Australian Mortgage Awards.
Since then, Mr Clayton has experienced all the highs and lows of business, with Claymax Finance riding out the GFC and then morphing in 2013 from a broking business into Lending Corp, an integrated finance firm.
Now, the father of three children under six is stepping away from the helm of Lending Corp to start another business with award-winning finance broking group, Loan Market.
“I’m excited about taking on a new challenge and working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment,” Mr Clayton said.
“I’m driven to help people. I get a huge buzz from helping customers secure their dream homes in the quickest possible time.”
Mr Clayton is working with the industry-leading real estate firm and sister-brand Ray White Lower North Shore in Mosman and Director Richard Harding said Mr Clayton’s impressive background would be invaluable to the offices trusted clients.
“As a company, we strive to become famous for supporting clients with their requirements across all areas of real estate; from property management, auctions, residential sales, projects and commercial. With Matt onboard we can confidently add lending to this list,” he said.
“Matt, lives and breathes the local area and can connect with our clientele on many levels. It’s great to have another local in the team.”
Mr Clayton is well versed with the financial needs of the local community.
“Purchases in this Lower North Shore market are largely based on strategies, such as investment strategy or debt recycling,” he said.
“Yes there are the fundamentals of rate and repayment, but based on my experience, if you set up a sound strategy from day one, it will lead to a better outcome.”
Speaking of Mr Clayton joining the group, Loan Market NSW State Director, Michael Karpathakis said he is honoured to have such talent in the business.
“Matt’s proven himself time and again in this industry, through thick and thin. He is exactly the kind of operator who embodies our brand ethos, and we look forward to being a part of his journey,” he said.
