Leonard Van der Velde

I was born and raised in New Zealand to a Dutch father and Tongan mother. My upbringing was on a dairy farm, an environment where I absorbed the values of hard work and discipline from my parents. I grew up loving all sports and have always been very competitive. Much like many other Kiwi's rugby union was a significant part of my life. In my early 20's, I had a 2-year stint playing rugby in the UK, where I had the good fortune of meeting my now wife Hayley.

Before my real estate career I was in Landscape Construction for 8 years, through my journey and property investing, I harbored a strong passion for the real estate industry.

Joining the great team we have at Ray White Lower North Shore has allowed me to tap into a vast network of experienced professionals and I feel very grateful to be working in my favourite area of Sydney.

I'm proud of my unique background, coupled with a strong work ethic and competitive spirit which helps me provide the highest level of service and commitment.

I've now hung up the rugby boots and caught the running bug, I've completed a few marathons and an ultra marathon in the past couple years. In my spare time you'll find me with family and friends, playing sports or going for walks with my wife Hayley and our dog - Bear.
