North Sydney and Waverton

The commercial hub of the North Shore, North Sydney is a unique enclave where illuminated skyscrapers meet leafy urban living. Waverton is a quiet village on the fringe of North Sydney and McMahons Point. It’s residents are attracted by the complete convenience that North Sydney and Waverton have to offer such as prestigious schools and unbeatable access and express transport to the city centre.

Architecture

Tall skyscrapers sit beside high-rise apartments that capitalise on Sydney Harbour views. Head further up Miller and Walker Streets and the towering buildings give way to beautiful Victorian-style houses, giving North Sydney a more residential feel. In Waverton Federation homes and semis are neighboured by Art Deco apartments and 1970s units.

Transport

North Sydney is well serviced by a network of trains, buses and ferries, and its streets are heavily congested with commuters during the week.

Eateries & Nightlife

Above the plaza and overshadowed by towering skyscrapers, the historic sandstone Greenwood Hotel has been reimagined as a gastro pub with four bars. On weekends, locals gravitate towards the sprinkling of cafés to be found on West and Miller Streets, enjoying the peaceful hiatus before the Monday morning crowds descend on North Sydney once again.

Health

As a busy commercial hub, North Sydney also provides quality health care. A number of full service medical practices operate out of North Sydney with larger hospitals such as Royal North Shore, North Shore Private and The Mater just minutes away.

Schools & Catchment Areas:

Popular for families, North Sydney and Waverton are the home to many of Australia’s top private schools.
